£1000 challenge – DIRECTION
Create two straight parallel lines on the floor, 2 metres long and no more than 2 feet apart, this can be outside with chalk or created with rope, tape etc. You then need to walk blindfolded in a straight line for two metres. You have completed the challenge if you manage to not step outside of the lines. Simplify – reduce to 1 metre
£10000 challenge – STACK
Get a tower of 10 objects (cans of food, blocks) can you then move that tower and rebuild it using only one hand in 10 seconds. You need to start and stop the timer (your phone) which should be placed in the middle of the two towers. Simplify – increase time to 20 seconds
£20000 challenge – CALCULATE
Ask someone to start a timer on their phone, they must say ‘go’ when the start the timer. You need to say stop when you think 10 seconds has elapsed. You must get this exactly to win. Simplify – you can be within 2 seconds.
£50000 – SWAP
Put a container one side of you with 10 objects all the same colour (pens, apples, lego blocks etc.) then a container the other side with objects of another colour. Swap which container the colours are in in 10 seconds. Simplify – extend to 15 seconds.
£100000 – ROLL
Using a dining table, or large flat surface, tape an area, that is at least 1 metre away from where you are standing, and 10cm by 10cm. Now roll a ball and the aim is for it to stop in that area. You can use a tennis ball, golf ball etc. Simplify – increase the size of the marked areas to 20cm by 20cm.
£250000 challenge – DESCENT
Find two flat surfaces at different heights and a bucket, bounce a tennis ball off of both surfaces and into the bucket. Simplify – remove one of the surfaces so the ball only needs to bounce once.
